Shay Woodhouse is a multidisciplinary artist working in ceramics, textiles, oils and watercolor. She created Clay By Shay in 2018, to bring together various aspects of her practice. Shay’s studio supports women in her community, while focusing on sustainability, form & function. Each piece is made by hand from stoneware, porcelain, and earthenware clay bodies in a small studio in Boise, ID. The designs combine the colors and forms of landscapes, and are made to be as resilient as the earth and the women who make it. The jewelry is naturally waterproof, durable and always free of plastics. Each design is simple, timeless, inclusive and made to be worn everyday or on the most special of occasions.
