Playing with form and pushing the relationship to the body, Whitney’s work draws from the body’s underlying structure, armour, objects of comfort, nature, playful geometry, enclosure, and envelopment. Her jewelry is elemental, raw, architectural, and timeless. Producing handmade jewelry through the ancient art form of lost wax casting in close connection to her Providence based casters, Whitney hand finishes each piece, produced in solid sterling silver, brass, or bronze.
