K. Charm Design is a functional pottery studio started by Ki Charm John Kim, a freelance home hard goods designer and ceramic artist. Ki Charm mainly throws on the wheel to create functional pieces such as mugs, bowls, and other goods. Ki Charm also produces one-of-kind sculptural pieces that are sold in gallery shows. Ki Charm is inspired by the wabi-sabi forms of Korean Puncheong wares. Those exuberant, spontaneous strokes and forms are expressed in his work.
