My paintings are immersive surfaces of lush greenery. They are inspired by walks through woods, farms, gardens, and growing up close to nature. The textures and colors combine in an orchestrated tangle of weeds and vines. Each painting attempts to capture a mood, the lighting and smells that left an impression on me. It’s somewhat spiritual, but also nostalgic, a longing for a still moment in the constant and unstoppable growth, life and death cycle that nature produces.
