Metta Metalworks sits at what might seem an unlikely crossroads; It is a collision between a Masters in Fine Arts degree, a career in the costume jewelry industry and years spent sitting on cushions cultivating a spiritual practice. The pieces you find on the site are jewelry that is “designed to remind” us of the things that are important and authentic to who we are and the direction we want to move in. Putting them on is like setting an intention. Noticing them during the day is a way to reconnect to that intention. You’re encouraged to imbue the work with your own meaning so that it becomes a personal talisman, calling you back moment after moment to your center.
