When shopping for her own baby, Alexa often found herself wondering why high-end baby products tend to have such muted, neutral designs. Babies are fun! Babies want color! So why was it so hard to find anything fun or colorful?
Alexa wanted a well-designed, sophisticated, and imaginative space for her son. Given her background in textile design, she figured she might as well create that space herself.
Alexa begins each and every design the same way. She thinks of exciting destinations, exotic animals, magical creatures. Then puts watercolor to paper. Alexa paints the backgrounds and the flora and fauna motifs. The watercolors are digitized, collaged, and then printed on the highest quality 100% cotton sateen.
Alexa hopes that Moon Star Baby brings life, color, and many adventures into your nursery!
