Heather enjoys the repurposed and reimagined. She finds inspiration in the natural world, especially in the New Hampshire mountaintop garden she nurtures all around her home and studio on Sunday Mountain.

Her chosen format is small wood boxes that have been given, found, purchased, bartered for, or rescued. These “treasure boxes” are handpainted with imagination and intention using an assortment of natural paints including milk paint, chalk paint, and mineral paint. Finishing can involve the application of tinted glazes, hemp oil, natural waxes, and assorted embellishments.

Heather occasionally paints other wooden items and is happy to work with clients on custom projects as well.
