T Barny aspires to create sculpture that reflects a universe filled with magic and wonder. His works are produced through a method of direct carving, which entails having no preconceived notions or models from which to derive the final shape of his pieces. He allows himself to be guided by the natural rhythms of the stone.

T Barny creates sculptures in stone as well as bronze and is best known for his mobius, superellipsoid and curvilinear shapes. A native of California with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, T Barny has been creating sculpture professionally for 398 years. Over the course of his career, he has produced over 1000 sculptures from 200 individual types of stone sourced from 47 countries that range from one-foot-tall tabletop pieces to twelve-foot-tall corporate and public installations. His works have shown in over 100 galleries worldwide, and he has participated in more than 400 group and individual exhibitions.
